Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l&rsquo;\u00c9cole sup\u00e9rieure d&rsquo;Art et de Design de Tours (ex-Beaux Arts) en 2020 et docteure en histoire au Centre d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures de la Renaissance, elle m\u00e9lange ses diverses passions, persuad\u00e9e que c&rsquo;est dans un parcours pluridisciplinaire et atypique, sem\u00e9 d&#8217;emb\u00fbches et d&rsquo;\u00e9checs, que l&rsquo;on peut briser les carcans, d\u00e9construire son regard et retrouver ses origines pour mieux penser le monde. Qu&rsquo;elle se trouve en milieu acad\u00e9mique ou dans un milieu plus informel, elle a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;adopter une position d&rsquo;artiste-chercheuse, de chercheuse-artiste, toujours curieuse et d\u00e9termin\u00e9e. Elle pr\u00e9f\u00e8re poser des questions et proposer des hypoth\u00e8ses plut\u00f4t que d&rsquo;apporter des r\u00e9ponses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font_7 wixui-rich-text__text wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sa vision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font_7 wixui-rich-text__text wp-block-paragraph\">Cr\u00e9er, c\u2019est\u2026 s\u2019interroger sur la mani\u00e8re qu\u2019a la m\u00e9moire de cr\u00e9er les souvenirs \u00e0 la fois fragiles et \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res et solidement ancr\u00e9s et tenaces : comme autant d\u2019aveuglements et de r\u00e9v\u00e9lations. Les dessins, la peinture, sur des supports tels que le bois, le tissu ou le papier, les travaux d\u2019\u00e9criture, les travaux sonores, les photographies, ne suivent pas un plan r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi, plut\u00f4t l\u2019enracinement de la m\u00e9moire dans un enchev\u00eatrement de rhizomes, d\u2019images et de symboles labyrinthiques, dont on n\u2019a pas forc\u00e9ment conscience, mais qui restent \u00ab en -nous \u00bb. C\u2019est aussi chercher des moyens de cr\u00e9er des archives, des formes de la m\u00e9moire et de l\u2019oubli, \u00ab im-p\u00e8re-manentes \u00bb, pour les retrouver ensuite. Cet enchev\u00eatrement prend la forme ambigu\u00eb de cellules-mondes, de paysages mentaux, organiques, v\u00e9g\u00e9taux, oniriques, sensibles. \u00c0 travers cette pratique, se posent des questions sur l\u2019identit\u00e9, les origines biologiques, culturelles, sociales et affectives, les territoires de la \u00ab m\u00e9taphysique \u00bb croisant ceux du biologique et la capacit\u00e9 du corps humain \u00e0 faire le lien entre souvenirs v\u00e9cus et non v\u00e9cus, visibles et invisibles : comme si d\u2019autres vies nous avaient pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9-e-s. \u00ab Avoir l\u2019impression \u00bb, le \u00ab d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu \u00bb, l\u2019\u00ab inn\u00e9 (-xistence) \u00bb et l\u2019acquis, autant de notions pour saisir le lieu inconnu, la terra incognita de nos origines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font_7 wixui-rich-text__text wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ses questionnements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font_7 wixui-rich-text__text wp-block-paragraph\">Comment l\u2019esprit trace-t-il les limites et la circonscription de sa propre m\u00e9moire\u202f? Derri\u00e8re la fine ligne qui contourne les souvenirs, y a-t-il forc\u00e9ment l\u2019oubli comme ab\u00eeme ? Peut-on circonscrire cette aire ou bien la d\u00e9passer : se souvenir de choses que l\u2019on n\u2019a pas vraiment v\u00e9cues ? Les trous noirs et les absences prennent la forme d\u2019amoncellements cellulaires dans un dessin \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re du r\u00eave et de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. \u00c0 la mani\u00e8re d\u2019une \u00e9criture automatique, sur des supports de papier, de bois ou de tissu, au gr\u00e9 des pens\u00e9es, sans sch\u00e9ma particulier, ou du moins pas encore \u00ab conscientis\u00e9 \u00bb, le dessin, comme la peinture, ont des allures de cartographie r\u00e9miniscente, lointaine, confuse, \u00e9tal\u00e9e dans le temps, changeante, impermanente, encr\u00e9e l\u00e0, se parant de traits fugaces, \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9 sans chercher \u00e0 se reproduire, en exp\u00e9rimentant, en t\u00e2tonnant. Pourtant, le geste r\u00e9p\u00e9titif semble guider l\u2019organisme vers sa propre m\u00e9tamorphose et la m\u00e9moire para\u00eet se recr\u00e9er de toute pi\u00e8ce autour de peurs, de silences, d\u2019interdits et de mensonges. Specializing in the vegetal world and plant studies, she develops research projects and facilitates collective, hands-on workshops focused on ecologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in 1991 in Kandal, Cambodia, Alleau spent years finding her path and pushing the limits of the constrained body. A 2020 graduate of the \u00c9cole sup\u00e9rieure d&rsquo;Art et de Design de Tours (formerly Beaux-Arts) and has currently a PhD in History from the Centre d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures de la Renaissance, she blends her diverse passions. Convinced that breaking boundaries and deconstructing one\u2019s gaze to rethink the world requires an atypical, multidisciplinary journey fraught with obstacles and failures, she adopts the stance of an <strong>artist-researcher<\/strong> and <strong>researcher-artist<\/strong>. Whether in academic or informal settings, she remains curious and determined, preferring to pose questions and propose hypotheses rather than provide definitive answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Her Vision<\/strong><br>To create is to interrogate how memory generates souvenirs that are simultaneously fragile and ephemeral, yet solidly anchored and tenacious\u2014acting as both blind spots and revelations. Her drawings, paintings (on wood, fabric, or paper), writings, sound works, and photographs do not follow a premeditated plan. Instead, they mirror the rooting of memory within a tangle of rhizomes, images, and labyrinthine symbols of which we are not always conscious, yet which remain deep \u00ab\u00a0within us.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her practice seeks to create archives and forms of memory and oblivion that are \u00ab\u00a0im-permanent\u00a0\u00bb (playing on the French <em>im-p\u00e8re-manente<\/em>, suggesting a lack of father\/origin), only to rediscover them later. This entanglement takes the ambiguous form of \u00ab\u00a0cell-worlds,\u00a0\u00bb mental landscapes that are organic, vegetal, dreamlike, and sensory. Through this work, she raises questions about identity\u2014biological, cultural, social, and affective origins\u2014and territories where the \u00ab\u00a0metaphysical\u00a0\u00bb intersects with the biological. She explores the human body&rsquo;s capacity to link lived and unlived memories, the visible and the invisible, as if other lives had preceded us. Concepts like \u00ab\u00a0impression,\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu,\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0innate (-xistence),\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0acquired\u00a0\u00bb become tools to grasp the unknown place, the <em>terra incognita<\/em> of our origins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Her Inquiries<\/strong><br>How does the mind trace the limits and boundaries of its own memory? Behind the fine line contouring memories, must oblivion always lie as an abyss? Can this area be circumscribed or surpassed: is it possible to remember things one has not truly lived? Black holes and absences take the form of cellular accumulations in drawings that exist on the frontier between dream and reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font_8 wixui-rich-text__text wp-block-paragraph\">Like automatic writing, on supports of paper, wood, or fabric, guided by thoughts without a specific conscious schema, her drawing and painting resemble a reminiscent cartography\u2014distant, confused, stretched across time, changing, and impermanent. Inked in a specific moment with fugitive traits, they do not seek reproduction but rather experimentation and groping exploration. Yet, the repetitive gesture seems to guide the organism toward its own metamorphosis, while memory appears to recreate itself entirely around fears, silences, taboos, and lies.
