Nous \u00e9tudions D\u00e9m\u00e9ter, figure de la femme-m\u00e8re nourrici\u00e8re, divinit\u00e9 des r\u00e9coltes et sa fille, Kor\u00e9, personnification du cycle semis\/moisson, symbole de la m\u00e9tamorphose du v\u00e9g\u00e9tal, dans la peinture classique. Nous observons que la misogynie et la moralisation de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9absorbent le mythe ancien, en ne gardant que certains aspects de sa c\u00e9l\u00e9bration : l\u2019all\u00e9gorie de la r\u00e9colte ou bien \u00e0 l\u2019oppos\u00e9, la femme aux Enfers et la mort. We look at Demeter, the figure of the nurturing woman-mother, deity of the harvest, and her daughter, Kore, personification of the sowing\/harvesting cycle, symbol of plant metamorphosis, through classical painting. We observe that misogyny and the moralizing forces in society reappropriate the ancient myth by keeping only certain aspects of its celebration: the allegory of the harvest or, on the contrary, the woman in the underworld and death.
